Composting can be a simple task but in order to begin, you need to know what you can and cannot compost. Composting is a great way to add organic material and nutrients to your garden for free. Here is a list of things you can and cannot compost.

What to Compost:
- Dry leaves
- Wood chips
- Shredded paper
- Sawdust
- Fruits and vegetables
- Coffee grounds and filter paper
- Tea bags
- Egg shells
- Grass
- Wood ashes
- Hair
- Dryer lint
- Cotton balls

What NOT to Compost:
-Meat
- Human waste
- Dog or cat waste
- Sea food or Fish
- Bones
- Oil or grease
- Weeds
- Coloured paper
- Plastic
- Metal
- Foil
